RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE PASCO COUNTY
COMPREHENSIVE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN.
WHEREAS, Florida Administrative Rule 27P-6 establishes the criteria for review of
local emergency management plans; and
WHEREAS, the "Local Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan Compliance
Criteria" which is adopted by reference in Rule 27P-6, sets forth the criteria and format for local
emergency management plans; and
WHEREAS, Florida Statute 252.38(2) provides that "Municipalities without Emergency
Management Programs shall be served by their respective County agencies"; and
WHEREAS, the Pasco County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan has been
reviewed by the State of Florida, Division of Emergency Management, and declared to be in
compliance with the terms of Chapter 27P-6;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Zephyrhills, a political
subdivision of the State of Florida, through its City Council, in regular session assembled this
11th day of January, 2016, does hereby declare that the Pasco County Comprehensive
Emergency Management Plan is adopted and authorized to be activated by the City of
Zephyrhills.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
