A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA,
AGREEING TO PARTICIPATE IN A LOCALLY FUNDED AGREEMENT
WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR
DESIGN SERVICES ALONG U.S. 301 ALSO KNOW AS THE ONE-WAY
PAIR IN ZEPHYRHILLS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills agrees to provide funding for the
design services for the CITY in conjunction with the DOT project identified as US 301 (SR41/Gall
Blvd)from SR 39 to south of CR 54; and
WHEREAS, the FDOT will provide design services described as sidewalk enhancements
on both sides of 6th Street and 7th Street consisting of architectural pavers between 4th Avenue
and 6th Avenue where architectural pavers will completely replace the standard concrete
sidewalk, signal upgrades at two intersection (5th Avenue at 7th Street and 5th Avenue at 6th
Street) to include mast arm signal supports in lieu of concrete strain poles with span wires, and
crosswalk enhancement to include patterned pavement at each of the seven signalized
intersections; and
WHEREAS, FDOT and the CITY have determined that it would be in the best interest of
the general public and to the economic advantage of the Parties to coordinate and cooperate in
their efforts to facilitate development of the project; and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the project, the CITY is prepared to provide financial
assistance as provided herein, for the construction of the aforementioned sidewalks; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,
sitting in regular session this 8th day of June, 2015 does support the Locally Funded Agreement
between the Florida Department of Transportation and the City of Zephyrhills whereby the City will
provide financial assistance to the design of the one-way pair project known as US 301/Gall Blvd.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 8th day of June, 2015.
