AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, LEVYING THE
MILLAGE RATE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009-2010 FOR
THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, has timely advised the asco o
County Property Appraiser's office that it proposed to levy a millage rate of 5.57079 mills,which is less

than the rolled back rate of 6.41080 mills computed pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(1)by(13.11% ;and O
WHEREAS,the CityCouncil of the City-of Zephyrhills,Florida
did on September 14,2009 co Lduct
a Public Hearing and a second Public Hearing on September 28, 2009, and following the second I ublic
m ,
Hearing, did adopt a tentative budget of Thirty-Nine Million One Hundred Forty-One Thousand Four
Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($39,141,425).
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida did advertise on Septemb r 25, i m
2009, its intent to adopt a final budget and millage rate during a Public Hearing held September 28, 009;
and
WHEREAS,.the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Florida,did after receiving input fro nthe
general public,adopt a final budget of Thirty-Nine Million One Hundred Forty-One Thousand Four Ht Ldred
Twenty-Five Dollars($39,141,425).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Counci of the City of Zephyrhills,Fl rida,
sitting in regular session that:
The millage rate to be levied for ad valorem taxes within the municipality of the City of Zeph hills
for the 2009-2010 fiscal year shall be 5.57079 mills, said rate being(13.11%)less than the
rolled back,rate of 6.41080 mills computed pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(1).
This ordinance shall bcome effective upon passage on the second reading and signing I y the
