ORDINANCE NO. 1054-10
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 21(d)(1) RATE
ADJUSTMENTS OF ORDINANCE NO. 985-07; ' PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, REPEALER,AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in;the City's interest to update Sectio
21(d)(1) Rate Adjustments to accurately reflect the true intent of the City Council of the City of
Zephyrhills.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,
Florida, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 21(d)(1), Rate Adjustments, of Ordinance No. 985-07 is hereby amended
as follows:

(1) Adjustments: On October 1, 2008, and on October 1 of each subsequent year, th
base rates provided in subsections (a) and (b) of this section shall be escalated in accordance wit
the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers (CPI-U): South Urban, All Items
(unadjusted). In no event shall the base rates be adjusted downwards absent affirmative actio
by the City Council.

SECTION 2. Repealer. 090 2BK 8410 1 6cf 1815
Any ordinance, or part of any ordinance, in conflict herewith is hereby repealed to the extent o
any conflict.
SECTION 3. Severability.
It is declared to be the intent of the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, that if any
section, subsection, sentence, clause, or provision of this Ordinance shall be declared invalid, the
remainder of this Ordinance shall be construed as not having contained said section, subsection
sentence, clause, or provision and shall not be affected by such holding.
SECTION 4. Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon passage on the second reading and signing by th
Mayor.
