AN- ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF- ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA,
REPEALING ORD. A-15; PROVIDING FOR SALE AND SERVICE OF
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND

WHEREAS, the City of Zephyrhills desires to create a level playing field for business located
within the municipal limits of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City has been notified that unincorporated Pasco County currently permits the
sale of alcoholic beverages by Licensees on Sunday beginning at 11:00 a.m., while the City
currently permits sales beginning at 1:00 p.m.,thus placing local business at a disadvantage; and
WHEREAS, the City may adjust the times for the service and sale of alcohol pursuant to Sectio
562.14, Fla. Stat.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: HOURS OF SALE.
A. No alcoholic beverages shall be sold, consumed, served or permitted to be served
or consumed in any place holding a state license between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. o
the same morning, except as provided in this section.
B. No alcoholic beverages shall be sold, consumed, served or permitted to be served
or consumed in any place holding a state license between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
of each Sunday.
SECTION 2: INCONSISTENCY. -
If any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances are in conflict herewith, this Ordinance shall
control to the extent of the conflict.
SECTION 3: SEVERABILITY.
If any portion of this Ordinance is determined to be void,unconstitutional, or invalid by,a
court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of this Ordinance shall remain in full force and
effect.
SECTION 4: 'EFFECTIVE DATE.
This ordinam eTlwill become effective upon passage on the second reading and signing by
the Mayor.
