AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS,FLORIDA,LEVYING THE AMENDED MILLAGE RATE
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016-2017 FOR THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO.: 1307-06.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, has timely advised the o
Pasco County Property Appraiser's office that it proposed to levy a millage rate of 6.35 mills,which m m
is more than the rolled back rate of 6.2139 mills computed pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(1)by (O°1
2.19%; and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Florida did on September 14,2016 (Oa
conduct a Public Hearing and a second Public Hearing on September 26, 2016, and following the
second Public Hearing,did adopt a tentative budget of Sixty-Eight Million Six Hundred Ninety-Six
Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Dollars ($68,696,230).
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Florida did advertise on September i (0'
15,2016,its intent to adopt a final budget and millage rate during a Public Hearing held September (ii
26, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, did after receiving input
from the general:public, adopt a final budget of Sixty-Eight Million Six Hundred Ninety-Six
Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Dollars ($68,696,230).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,
Florida, sitting in regular session that:
1. The millage rate to be levied for ad valorem taxes within the municipality of the City
l
of Zephyrhills for the 2016-2017 fiscal year shall be 6.35 mills, said rate has not
changed.
2. This Ordinance shall become effective upon passage on the second reading and
signing by the Mayor.
3. Ordinance No.: 1307-06 is hereby repealed.
