AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 50, GARBAGE AND
REFUSE, SECTION 50.40, RATES AND CHARGES ESTABLISHED,
CREATING SUBSECTION (E) CONSTRUCTION AND • DEBRIS
SERVICE; ESTABLISHING FEES AND DEPOSITS; PROVIDING FOR A
REPEALER, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Zephyrhills has provided sanitation services to the residents
and businesses of Zephyrhills for several decades; and
WHEREAS,the City of Zephyrhills Public Works Department- Sanitation-Division ha
grown through the years and has expanded its abilities to provide alternative disposal services;
and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida finds it desirable to
create a construction and debris service to assist homeowners and contractors with-the collectio
and disposal of this category of waste; and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills finds it necessary to establish a
rate schedule for these new services.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhil Is
Florida that:
SECTION 1. Section 50.40 shall be amended to include subsection(E) as follows:

(E) Construction and Debris Service 10/03/13

(1) The City shall offer construction and debris service to home-owners and contractors
through the use of roll-off containers. This service does not prohibit private firms in
compliance with the Code of Ordinances, Section 50.41 from also providing this
service within the City.
(2) The initial rate schedule for construction and debris service shall be as noted below.
Beginning October 1, 2015, and each year thereafter,the rates will be subject to
adjustment pursuant to 50.40(d), as amended.
Roll-off container rates for Construction and Debris Service
Delivery Charge $ 45.00
Monthly rate (30 days or less) - 20 yard container $ 170.00
Monthly, r�(30 days or less) - 30 yard container $ 180.00
Additional pull charge (One pull is included in monthly rate) $ 100.00
Disposal fee - 20 yard container $ 200.00
Disposal fee - 30 yard container $ 300.00
(3) The here shall be collected a deposit from customers requesting Construction and
Debris Service as noted below.
20 yard container $ 250.00
30 yard container $ 300.00
SECTION 2. Repealer.
All provisions of the Zephyrhills Code of Ordinances as amended, in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. Severability.

If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or provision of this Ordinance is held invalid or
unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, then the said holding shall in no way affect
the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance having contained such section,
subsection, sentence, clause, or provision, and shall not be affected by such holding.
SECTION 4. Effective Date.
This,Ordinaie'-shall become effective October 1, 2013.
