AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS,FLORIDA,LEVYING THE MILLAGE RATE FOR FISCAL
YEAR 2014-2015 FOR THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, has timely advised th ! R
Pasco County Property Appraiser's office that it proposed to levy a millage rate of 6.1415 mill ,
which is less than the rolled back rate of 6.1896 mills computed pursuant to Florida Statut ism
200.065(1) by(-0.78%); and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Florida did on September 8,2014
conduct a_Public Hearing and a second Public Hearing on September 22, 2014, and following th c
second Public Hearing,did adopt a tentative budget of Fifty-Four Million One Hundred Thousan
Seven Hundred Eight-Two Dollars ($54,100,782). (O~ o
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Florida did advertise on Septembe
18,2014,its intent to adopt a final budget and millage rate during a Public Hearing held September m
22, 2014;'and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, did after receiving inp
from the general public, adopt a final budget of Fifty-Four Million One Hundred Thousand Seve
Hundred Eighty-Two Dollars ($54,100,782).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,
Florida, sitting in regular session that:
1. ' The millage rate to be levied for ad valorem taxes within the municipality of the Ci
of Zephyrhills for the 2014-2015 fiscal year shall be 6.1415 mills, said rate being
0.78%) less than the rolled back rate of 6.1896 mills computed pursuant to Florid
Statute 200.065(1).
2. This Ordinance shall become effective upon passage on the second reading an
signing by the Mayor.
