HomeMy WebLinkAbout685-14 Landscape Reimbursement for SR 54 from 301 to Dauer Court RESOLUTION NO. 685-14 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO EXECUTE A HIGHWAY LANDSCAPE REIMBURSEMENT MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE CITY'S LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION AT STATE ROAD 54 - U.S. HIGHWAY 301 WEST TO DAUER COURT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation("FDOT")has funding available for the beautification of landscape at State Road 54 - U.S. Highway 301 west to Dauer Court("Project"); and WHEREAS, it is the City's intent to utilize this funding to landscape the Project area an to address any ongoing maintenance related issues; and WHEREAS, the cost of landscaping this area will be fully reimbursed by FDOT up to a maximum amount of$20,000; and WHEREAS,the Public Works Department currently this area and will continue to do so upon completion of this project; and WHEREAS, in order to execute this agreement the City must approve a resolutions that authorizes the City Council President to execute the Highway Landscape Reimbursement Memorandum of Agreement for the project. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida that: 1. The City Council President is authorized to execute a Highway Landscape Reimbursement Memorandum of Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for the installation of plant material at a maximum reimbursement amount of$20,000 and the subsequent maintenance of the plant material by the City on State Road 54 -U.S. Highway 301 west to Dauer Court; and 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
