A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, NAMING APPROVING PLACEMENT OF
AN HONORARY STREET DESIGNATION, "REUTIMANN WAY";
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Reutimann family is one of the founding families of the City of
Zephyrhills dating back to the 1800s; and
WHEREAS, members of the family have gained national recognition through their
motor-sports racing, and have been inducted into various Halls of Fame; and
WHEREAS, an honorary street designation would not change the official street name;
and
WHEREAS, honorary street designation would not be used for addressing purposes an
therefore would not change existing property addresses; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA:
1. The City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, approves the placement of
an honorary street designation sign in recognition of the Reutimann family to be placed on 12th
Street from 5th Avenue North to County Road 54 - as 12th Streetl"Reutimann Way."
2. Roadways having an honorary designation are not officially re-named, nor do
they alter the existing 911 street numbering system.
3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 9th day of March, 2015.
