AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, LEVYING THE
MILLAGE RATE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009 FOR
THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of IZephyrhills, Florida, has timely advised the Pasco
Co nty Property Appraiser's office that it proposed to levy a millage rate of 5.57079 mills, which is less
o
th the rolled back rate of 6.4137 mills computed pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(1)by 86.85%; and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Florida did on September-10,2008 conduct
a Public Hearing and a second Public Hearing on September 22, 2008, and following the second Public
Ip Hearing, did adopt a tentative budget of Forty-Two Million Two Hundred Eighty-Nine Thousand light
Hu dred Eighty-Seven Dollars $42 289 887).

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Z'ephyrhills, Florida did advertise on Septembel 19,
200 , its intent to adopt a final budget and millage rated during a Public Hearing held September 22,2008;
and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Florida,did after receiving input fro the
general public, adopt a fmal budget of Forty-Two Million Two Hundred Eight-Nine Thousand ight
Hundred Eighty-Seven Dollars ($42,289,887).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Flo 'da,
sitting in regular session that:
1. The millage rate to be levied for ad valorem taxes within the municipality of the City of
Zephyrhills for the 2008-2009 fiscal year shall be 5.57079 mills,said rate being 86.85% ess
than the rolled back rate of 6.4137 mills computed pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(1).
2. This ordinance shall become effective upon passage on the second reading and signing b)the
