AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, LEVYING THE
MILLAGE RATE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005-2006 __
FOR THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS.
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida,has timely advised the P�sco
County Property Appraiser's office that it proposed to levy a millage rate of 6.42 mills, which is more
than the rolled back rate computed pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(1)by 8.54%; and
Ili WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida did on September 12, 2 05
conduct a Public Hearing and a second Public Hearing on September 26,2005,and following the second
Public Hearing,did adopt a tentative budget of Forty-Four Million Eight Hundred Seventeen Thousand
Four Hundred Seventy-Four Dollars ($44,817,474).
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Florida did advertise on September 23,
2005,its intent to adopt a final budget and millage rate during a Public Hearing held September 26,2005;

WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Florida, did after receiving input fiom
the general public,adopt a final budget of Forty-Four Million Eight Hundred Seventeen Thousand Four
Hundred Seventy-Four Dollars ($44,817,474).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Flor da,
sitting in regular session that:
1. The millage rate to be levied for ad valorem taxes within the municipality of the City of
Zephyrhills for the 2005-2006 fiscal year shall be 6.42 mills, said rate being 8.54%nore
than the rolled back rate computed pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(1).
2. This ordinance shall become effective upon passage on the second reading and signing by
the`Mayor.
