ORDINANCE NO. I
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS,
FLORIDA, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, OPERATED,
ORGANIZED AND EXISTING UNDER THE LAWS OF
TiE STATE OF FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE
CALLING OF SPECIAL ELECTIONS; PROVIDING
FOR THE PUBLISHING OF NOTICE THAT A SPE-
CIAL ELECTION IS TO BE HELD; PROVIDING
THAT A SPECIAL ELECTION SHALL BE HELD IN
THE SAME MANNER PRESCRIBED FOR GENERAL
ELECTIONS SO LONG AS ANY PROVISION CON-
TROLLING GENERAL ELECTIONS IS NOT INCON-
SISTENT WITH THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
Be it Ordained and Enacted by the City Council of the City

of Zephyrhills , Florida , as follows :
1. That when the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills ,
Florida, is empowered to call a special election and when the
said Council shall determine that; a special election is require,
it shall be called by the Council; passing a resolution declar-
ing the purpose for such election and the date on which it shal
be held.
2. That the Council shall order the City Clerk to
prepare a notice stating the purpose and the date, upon which
the special election, as determined by the Council, shall be
held. The City Clerk shall have the- said notice published
once in a paper published in the City of Zephyrhills , Florida,
at least thirty (30) days prior to the election, and at least
fifteen (15) days prior to the caucus to be called by the Mayor,
as provided for in the ordinances) of the City of Zephyrhills ,
Florida.
3. That when applicable and not inconsistent ' herewit
the provisions for the holding of general elections in the
City of Zephyrhills , Florida , shall apply and control the
holding of special elections .
4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances which
have heretoforebeen approved by the City Council in conflict
herewith, or any part thereof, be, and the same are hereby now
repealed.
. That if any section;, paragraph or sentence of
this, ordinance shall for any cause be held void and inopera-
tive, it . shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion
of this ordinance.
6. That this ordinance shall take .effect immediately
upon its passage.

passed on its first reading by the City Council of Zephyrhills ,
