12'J ORDINANCE NO. /f'l -'
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA,
PROVIDING THAT IN CASE THE TAX ASSESSOR OF SAID
CITY SHALL FAIL OR NEGLECT TO COMPLETE THE ASSESS-
MENT OF THE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY CFZEPHYRHILLS,
FLORIDA, OR FAIL TO PREPARE THE ASSESSMENT ROLE
FOR THE CURRENT YEAR ON OR BEFORE THE 1st DAY OF
APRIL, IT SHALL BE WITHIN THE POWER 'OF THE CITY
COUNCIL TO DIRECT TWO SUITABLE PERSONS TO MAKE A
COMPLETE ASSESSMENT, AND PROVIDING FURTHER THAT
IF THE SAID TWO PERSONS SHALL MAKE OR COMPLETE
THE ASSESSMENT, THEY SHALL PERFORM THE DUTIES
WHICH THE TAX ASSESSOR WOULD HAVE PERFORMED.
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYR ILLS,
FLORIDA.
Section 1. In case the Tax Assessor shall fail or neglect to
complete the assessment of the property within the City of Zephyrhil s,
Florida, or the preparation of an Assessment Roll for the current year
on or before the 1st day of April, it shall be within the power of the
City Council to direct two suitable persons to make a complete assess-
ment In case these two persons shall make or complete the assessment,
they shall perform the duties which the Tax Assessor would have performed.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts 'or ordinances in conflict
here ith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3. If any part of this ordinance shall, by any Court
of competent jurisdiction, be held to be unconstitutional, such ruli g
shall not effect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective in the
manner as provided by the City Charter of the City of Zephyrhills,
Florida.
