ORDINANCE NO A /L
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS,
FLORIDA, RESTRICTING THE SPEED LIMIT 7
FOR MOTOR VEHICLES IN THE SCHOOL ZONES,
BUSINESS SECTIONS, OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYR-
HILLS, AND AT INTERSECTIONS, TO CERTAIN
SPECIFIED LIMITS, AND PROVIDING THE
PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF.
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
- ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA.
Section 1. The limit of speed shall be fifteen (15)
miles per hour in school zones and in the business section,
and ten (10) miles per hour at intersections where the view
is obstructed, and thirty (30) miles per hour in all other
sections of the City.
Section 2. Any person violating the provisions of
Section l .above, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished
by a fine of not more than:
(1) Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) , or by imprison-
ment for period of not more than ten (10)
days for the first offense.
(2) One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) , or by imprison-
ment for a period of not more than thirty (30)
days for the second offense.
(3) Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250.00) , or by
imprisonment for a period of not more than
sixty (60) days for the third offense.
(�+) Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) , or by imprison-
ment for a period of not more than sixty (60)
days for .the fourth offense.
Or, for each offense, both such fine and impri-
sonment, as is provided for, in the discretion
of the Municipal Judge.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 4. If any part of this ordinance shall, by
any Court of competent jurisdiction, be held to be unconsti-
tutional, such ruling shall not effect the validity of the
remainder of this ordinance.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective
in the manner as provided by the City Charter of the City of
Zephyrhills, Florida.
