FLORIDA, MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO OPERATE
A MOTOR VEHICLE UPON THE STREETS OF THE
CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, NOT
EQUIPPED WITH A MUFFLER IN GOOD WORKING
CONDITION, AND PROHIBITING THE USE OF
OTHER DEVICES WHICH TEND TO CREATE SMOKE
• OR NOISE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF., ! �E
ZEPHYRHILLS, ' FLORIDA.
Section 1. That it shall be unlawful inthe City
of Zephyrhills for any person tooperate a motor vehicle which
is not at all times equipped with a muffler, in good working
order and constant operation, to prevent excessive noise and
annoying smoke, and no person shall use a muffler cut-out, by-
pass , or twin tail-pipes , or similar device, upon a motor
vehicle.
'Section 2. Any person violating the provisions of
Section 1 above shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished
by a fine of not more than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) , or
by imprisonment for a period of not more than ten (10) days in
the City Jail, or both such fine � and imprisonment, in the
• discretion of the Municipal Judge.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.

Section +. If any part of this ordinance shall, by
any Court of competent jurisdiction, be held to be unconsti-
tutional, such ruling shall not effect the validity of the
remainder of this ordinance.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective
in the manner as provided by the City Charter of the City of
Zephyrhills , Florida.
