' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS,
FLORIDA, MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR 'ANY MOTOR
)VEHICLE UPON THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF
/J7 JZEPHYRHILLS, UPON THE ALARM OF FIRE
BEING GIVEN, TO FAIL TO YEILD THE RIGHT
OF WAY TO THE FIRE TRUCK ON ITS WAY TO
�y THE SCENE OF SUCH FIRE; AND PROHIBITING
THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES WITHIN
300 FEET OF THE SCENE OF ANY FIRE, AND
PROVIDING THE DISTANCE FROM ANY SUCH
FIRE THAT CARS BELONGING TO MEMBERS OF
THE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT MAY BE
PARKED, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA.
Section 1. That when the fire siren or other alarm-
is given advising and notifying the people within, the City of
Zephyrhills that a fire has broken out and the fire truck is
on:_its,way to the scene of such fire and sounding its siren,
that all operators of motor vehicles and other vehicles shall
pull to the side of the street or thorofare so as to permit
said fire truck and the cars carrying the members of the vo-
lunteer fire department to have ready access of the streets
and thorofares in reaching the scene of the fire. Provided,
however , that nothing herein contained shall be construed as
applying to such motor vehicles in which members of the
volunteer fire department are riding but that all such vehicles
shall be operated in such a manner as not to interfere with,
or delay the fire truck in reaching the scene of the fire.

Section 2. That no motor vehicle or other vehicle
shall be parked within 300 feet of the scene of any fire, ex-
cept the cars belonging to or used by the members of the
volunteer fire department of the City of Zephyrhills may park
in that area 200 to 300 feet from the scene of the fire, and
that all persons are prohibited from interfering with the
members of the fire department in combating and fighting of
fires.
Section 3. That any person violating any of the
provisions of Section 1 and Section 2 above shall, upon con-
viction thereof, be_.fined in a sum of not more than One Hundred
and Fifty Dollars ($150.00) or be imprisoned fora period not
to exceed sixty (60) days or by both such fine and imprison-
ment in the discretion of the Municipal Judge.
Section +. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict..
Section 5. If any part of this ordinance shall, by
any Court of competent jurisdiction, beheld to be unconsti-
tutional, such ruling shall not effect the validity of the
remainder of this ordinance.
Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective

in the manner as provided by the, City Charter of the City of
Zephyrhills , Florida.
