AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, .
FLORIDA, MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO OPERATE ANY
, PUBLIC DANCE HALL OR PAVILION IN THE CITY
OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, SO AS TO DISTURB
PEOPLE RESIDING NEARBY, AND PROHIBITING
THE OPERATION OF SAID DANCE HALLS AFTER CER-
TAIN SPECIFIED HOURS, AND PROVIDING THE
PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA.
Section 1. That it shall be unlawful for the owner,
proprietor ,, or manager of any public dance hall or pavilion
in the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, to operate the same or
to allow it to be operated in such a manner as to unreasonably
annoy and disturb persons residing near such dance hall or
pavilion.
Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any owner, pro-
prietor, or manager of any public dance hall or pavilion in the
City of Zephyrhills, Florida, to allow dancing therein after th
hour of twelve o 'clock midnight until seven o 'clock a. m. the
following day or between the hours of twelve o 'clock midnight
Saturday and seven o 'clock a.m. Monday. Provided, however,
that this Section shall not be held to apply to occasional
benefit' andsimilar dances in buildings not regularly used as
public dance places.
Section 3. Any person-, firm, or corporation convicte
of any Violation •of Sections 1 and 2 above shall be punished
by a fine of not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) nor

more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and costs of the pro-
secution of each offense, or by imprisonment for a period of
not more than sixty (60) days or by both such fine and such
imprisonment in the discretion of the Municipal Judge.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 5. If any part of this ordinance shall, by
any Court of competent jurisdiction, be held to be unconsti-
tutional, such ruling shall not effect the validity of the
remainder of this ordinance.
Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective
in the manner as provided by the City Charter of the City of
Zephyrhills, Florida.
