AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS,
FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE FLORIDA STATE
SANITARY CODE OF JULY 1, 1954; PROHIBITING
THE USE OR CONSTRUCTION OF PRIVIES WITHIN
THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, AND
PROVIDING THE NALTY FOR VIOLATION
THEREOF.
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA.
Section 1. The "Florida State Sanitary Code" which
is in effect as of July 1, 1954 is hereby now adopted by the
City of Zephyrhills, the same as if set__forth in this ordinance
verbatim, and all sanitary measures and procedures as set out
in said code shall be complied with in the City of Zephyrhills ,
Florida.
Section 2. Privies regardless of type or construc-
tion are hereby prohibited within the limits of the City of
Zephyrhills, Florida.
Section 3. Any person, firm, or corporation, or
agent of any person, firm, or corporation who neglects , fails
or refuses to comply with the provisions of this ordinance
after notice by the Chief of Police or a Member of the Sanitary
Committee, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction thereof, shall be fined in any sum not less than
Five Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) and
each time that any person, firm, or corporation, or the agent
of either, neglects, fails or refuses to comply with the pro-
visions of this ordinance, after proper notice, shall be

deemed a separate offense and be punished by a fine as here-
in above provided, or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a
period not to exceed ten (10) days , or by both such fine and
imprisonment in the discretion of the Municipal Judge.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 5. If any part of this ordinance shall, by
any Court of competent jurisdiction, be held to be unconsti-
tutional, such ruling shall not effect the validity of the
remainder of this ordinance.
Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective
in the manner as provided by the City Charter of the City of
Zephyrhills , Florida.
