AN AMENDMENT TO ORDDINANCE NO. 81 ENTITLED : "AN
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA,
ADOPTING STATE SANITARY CODE OF JULY 1, 1954;
PROHIBITING. THE USE OR CONSTRUCTION OF PRIVIES
WITHIN THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILS, FLORIDA, AND -
PRO VID ING THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.";
TO INCLUDE SPECIFICATIONS FOR GREASE TRAPS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS,
FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
That Ordinance No. 81, according to the numbering scheme o£
the City Clerk of the City of Zephyrhills be and is hereby amended
to include the .followings
Section l&. SPECIFICATIONS FOR. GREASE TRAPS: That from and
after the adoption of this Amendment to Ordinance it shall be unlawful
for any person, firm or corporation to provide for the disposal of
the refuse water from the kitchen.., or otherwise$ where the refu e
to be disposed contains grease$ in any other manner except that of
providing a separate grease trap which shall be separate and apart
from the regular septic tank. The minimum size for grease traps
for domestic one family dwellings,', shall be three (3) feet by three
(3) feet by three (3) feet with a; minimum of thirty (30) feet of
drain field attached to receive the waste water from the sink, and
an additional ten .(10) feet of drain field added for each additional
fixture discharging into the grease trap. It shall be the duty of
the plumbing inspector, or any other official designated by proper
authority,, of the City of Zephyrhills, Floridan to see that this
provision is complied with wherever such is applicable to plumbing
{ installations.
PENALTY FOR VIOLATION : Anyone upon conviction of the violation
of this provision of this Ordinance shall be fined an amount not to
exceed FIFTY ($50.00) DOLLARS or ',imprisonment in the City Jail for
twenty (20) days$ or both,
