An Ordinance ammending the E'].e ctrical Code.: of Zephyrhills,, by".,
ad ing thereto, Section 1.63.02 to Chapter 3 thereof, and by
ad ing section 165.07 to Chapter 5 thereto; and amending
Section 164.01 Chapter 4 of Said Electrical Code by the addition \'�
of the words "except one and two family dwellings," immediately
fo lowing the words, National Electrical Code, first striking the
words ' a permit fee of 10 parr outlet paid therefor", and
am nding Section 163.01, Chapter 3 by the insertion of blast
ap roved " immediately before National Electrical Code, line
4 f said section.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Zephyrhills, Florida;
Section 1, That a section numbered 163.02 be and the same is
ad ed in Chapter 3 thereof; that a Chapter numbered 165.C`7; be and
the same is hereby added to Chapter 5 of the Zephyrhilis Electrical
Cee.
Section 2, That Section. 163.01 be and the same is hereby
am nded to read as follows when amended; Section 163.01 National
El ctrical Code Adopted. All electrical installation or wiring
he eafter made within the corporate limits of the City Of
Zephyrhills, Florida, shall be in accordance with the provisions
of the last approved National Electrical Code, as recommended by
th Fire Protection Association and approved by the American
St ndards Assoceation, and the provisions of such Code are hereby
gi en the full, force and effect of Law' to the same extent as thougA.,.

Section 163.02. It shah , be unlawfull for any person, firm or
c rporation to lath, seal or in anyway conceal any electric
vi ing or equipment in any building under construction or repair
until the same has been inspected.
Section 3; That Section 164.01 be amended so that when
am nded it shall read as follows; Sectoprn 164.Ql Conduits required, —„
in business and Industreal Zone. A .l' new Electrica; work and any
ex ention or ;'.alteration of existing wiring whithin the business,
or business and industreal Zone of said City of Zephyrhills, Florida,

as now or hereafter designated
by Ordinance shall be in conduit in
size and specifications required by the National Ele&trical Code,
ex ept, one and two family dwellings .

Ila Electrical Inspector shall have authority to require the
re airs or removal of any wires entering buildings• that may be
ad judged dangerois or that may be found placed contrary to the
Or inances of the City of Zephyrhills. He shall have power to
re uire correction of defects of all old work.
Hirst, where defects consist of violation of the Standard knob
an5. tube or open,iwork under provision of this Ordinance.
Se ? ond, Where additions or alterations are made within the fire
Zone of the City of Zephyrhills, and it becoms necessary to change
•I th character of. the wiring.
Third, If considerable additions are required to be made to
buildings where wiring is found defective, , or not up to required
St ndard.. Old work may be required to be brought up to Standard.
Se tion 4; This Ordinance shall become effective upon its
becoming a Lawn

on its first reading by the Cityl Council of the City of Zephyr-
hills , Florida, on the 18 day' of A prig , 1955.
