AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 of ORDINANCE
NO. 3, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS,

OF WATER BY THE CITY WATER SYSTEM OF THE CITY
OF ZEPHYRHILLS, AND FIXING THE CHARGES THEREFOR:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 .
a. That before any building or property shall here—
after be connected to the water system of the City of Zephyrhills,
the 'e shall be paid to the City Cleric of said City the various sums )
of loney hereinafter set forth for said connections in accordance
wit i the following schedule-:

plus any additional cost incurred by City, together
with connection costs ;
Further, that the said sums shall become the property;
of he City of Zephyrhills absolutely in payment for said connections
and services.
b. Providing also that should any consumer within
the city limits of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, desire to obtain
cit water service, he may enter into a contract with the City of
Zep yrhills . The City shall lay and install any water pipes at the
con umerts expense. However, said pipes so laid, pursuant to such
con ract, shall become the property of the City of Zephyrhills
imm diately, and the said City shall provide for a refund in the
amo nt expended by the consumer for the pipe ; provided, however, that
all such installations shall first be' approved by the City of
Zep yrhills.
c. All refunds made by the City of Zephyrhills t-o
the consumer, pursuant to this ordinance shall be made in accordance
with the monthly bill paid by the consumer, said amounts to be

r funded in the same amount as the water bill for any given
m nth, so that no refund will be made upon a cash basis, but
a credit upon the water bill paid by th.e consumer.
d. Whenever a second meter, or any future meters,
a e installed pursuant to this ordinance, and the monthly bills
a e rendered and paid, then these amounts will likewise be
c edited to the original person or persons until the total cost
o all pipe has been refunded.
e: All such refunds as set out in this ordinance
siall pertain and apply only to new water service connections,
a d shall be done so only upon approval of the City of Zephyrhills,
a d consumers desiring to take advantage of this ordinance shall
d so only upon entering into a contract with the City of Zephyr—
h lls, and the City reserves the right to refuse to contract with
a y consumer at any time the City deems it wise.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Amendment to Ordinance No. 3 shall
t ke effect immmediately upon becoming a law, in the manner
p ovided by the City Charter of' the City of Zephyrhills, Florida..
