Gl AN ORDINANCE SETTING FORTH THE USE AND
1 � PR-OCEDURE FOR FIRE PROTECTION EQUIPMENT

1 THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILL.S, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C,O'UNCIL OF THE CITY OF
Z PHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . That residents living outside of the
C ty Limits of the City of Zephyrhill-s frequently request the`
=City
o Zghyrhills to dispatch the City fire truck to combat fires
a jacent to the City Limits, and the City by prior use has found
t at damage can be prevented by the use of said fire truck, to
pr perty owners living immediately outside of the City Limits.
Section 2. Be it further ordained that the City
of Zephyrhills will offer fire protection to the residents living
within a radius of five miles from the City Limits whenever it is
p ssible- for the City to do so, provided the residents living
w thin a five mile radius will insure to the City Clerk that they
h ve obtained insurance, which insurance will insure the City than
i will be paid all costs involved or growing out of the use of
t e fire truck and the equipment, and the agent for such insurance
policy will register the same with the City Clerk, showing •that
s ch a policy is in full force and effect .
Section 3 , Be it further ordained that the City
Council of the City of Zephyrhills shall further set the rates
to be charged for the use of fire fighting equipment in each case
w ere the fire truck has been dispatched to any residence within
a radius of five miles of the City Limits, and to any fire coming
w thin the confines of this ordinance.
Section 4. Be it further ordained that none of the
provisions of this ordinance are mandatory upon the City, nor by
t is ordinance will the City be held liable to furnish fire pro—
' t ction to any resident living within the area covered by this
o dinance.

Section 5. Be it further ordained that before
a y person shall request fire protection as set forth in this
o dinance, all of the provisions in this ordinance shall have
b en complied with.
Section 6e If any section, clause or provision of
tiis ordinance shall for any cau's.e be held voi-d and of no effect,
i. shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance®
Section 7® This ordinance shall take effect immediately
u on its becoming a law, as provided by the Charter of the City
o Zephyrhills, Florida,
