ORDINANCE NO. 76
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1,956 FIRE PREVENTION
CODE AS IBC%'J_ys.ENDED BY THE NATIONAL BOARD OF
FIRE UNDERWRITERS .
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY Ti-LE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ZEPHYRI-JILL S, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1 . The "Fire Prevention Code," Edition of 1956, as
recommended by the National Board of Fire Underwriters, be and
tI 'e same is hereby now adopted by the City of Zephyrhills, Florida,
the same as if set forth in this ordinance verbatim, and all
measures and procedures - as recommended therein for the prevention
of and protection from fire in the City of. Zephyrhills, Florida,
shall be duly complied with in said City.
Section 2 . Prior Ordinance No . 76, entitled "An Ordinance of
the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, Adopting the 1953 Fire Preventio
Co .e as Recommended by the NationafBoard of Fire Underwriters" is
he' eby repealed; . and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict .
Section 3. Any person or persons violating the provisions
of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by
a fine of not more than FIVE HUNDRED ($500 .00) DOLLARS., or by
imprisonment in the city jail for not more than SIXTY ( 60) DAYS,
or both.
Section 4. If any provision of this ordinance shall, by any
coirt of competent jurisdiction, be held to be unconstitutional
or invalid, such ruling shall not affect the validity of the
other provisions of this ordinance, and they shall remain valid
and enforceable.
