AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED
"AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN ,ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR
AND ELECTRICAL EXAMINING BOARD FOR THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, AND SETTING FORTH THE POWERS
AND DUTIES OF SAID INSPECTOR AND SAID BOARD;
ESTABLISHING REQUIREMENTS AS TO CERTIFICATES OF
COMPETENCY, LICENSES, BONDS, AND PERMITS, REGARDING
ALL ELECTRI CAL WORK WI THIN THE CITY; PROVIDING
RULES AND RE1JLATIONS ,GOVERNING ELECTRICAL WORK
WITHIN THE CITY; AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR
VIOLATION."
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. Ordinance No. 136 be and the same is hereby amended to
include the following section, to-wit:
SECTION 10. A. Sale of Certain Appliances. to Users to be
Reported; Penalty. All sales of electrical appliances of two
thousand (2000) watts, or more, capacity, and all sales of air
conditioners and water heaters of any type or wattage sold to
the ultimate user shall be reported by the seller within ten (10)
days to the electrical inspector upon a form to be provided by
him, provided, that failure to secure such form shall be no excuse
f o r failure to make such report; and provided further that in
determining whether such sales are to the ultimate consumer the
fact that Florida Retail Sales Tax is due on said sale shall be
prima facie evidence of the necessity of reporting the sale as
hereinabove described. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any of the terms of this section of, this ordinance shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine of not less than $1.00 nor
more than $50.00 for each separate ;offense, and each violation

of this ordinance shall be a separate offense and punishable as
such.
2 . Subsection 22 (a) of Section 9 of Ordinance No. 136 be,
and the same is hereby repealed.
