AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA REVISING
• PARAGRAPH 5, of ORDINANCE #7k, AND STAT-
ING THAT ALL OTHER PARTS OF SAID ORDINANCE
REMAIN THE SAME. ' A
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That paragraph 5 of Ordinance #72, as the
same was passed upon its third reading on the 20th day of Novem-
ber, 1940, and approved by B. F. Parsons , then Mayor of the City
lof 'Zephyrhills , on the same date, be and it is hereby revised
to read as follows:
• "Every person who, except for the registration here-
; inabove required, is qualified to vote in said city elections,
shall on or before 5:00 O °clock p.m. of the _fifteenth (15th
day immediately preceding the holding of any election in the
City of Zephyrhills, Florida, apply to said Clerk to have his
name registered in said Registration Book;: and said applicant
shall then and there make an affidavit before the City Clerk
that he or she has been a resident and citizen of the United
States and of the State of Florida for a period of twelve (12)
months, and of the City of Zephyrhills for a period of six (6)
months ; and that he or she is over the age of twenty-one years,
and is qualified as an elector by the laws of the State of
Florida; and upon said affidavit being made as aforesaid, the
City Clerk shall then enter the name of said elector in the
Registration Book of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, provided
further, however, that all duly qualified electors who have
heretofore registered with the said City Clerk as aforesaid
shall be entitled to vote in city elections without registra-
tion until such time as the said City of Zephyrhills shall,
by ordinance, require the re-registration of all electors."

Section 2. That each and every part of the said
Ordinance #72 will remain in full force and effect except as
the same is altered as shown above.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. If any portion of this Ordinance shall
be declared unconstitutional, invalid or inoperative by any
Court of competent jurisdiction, , such holding shall not affect
the remainder of this Ordinance not dependent thereon for
meaning.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect imme-
diately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, or upon
its becoming a law without such approval by the Mayor.
