AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. 136
AN AMENDMENT TO THE ELECTRICAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRH ILLS, FLORIDA; AMEND ING PARAGRAPH A_5. OF
SECTION 4 RELATING TO EXAMINATIONS FOR CERTIFICATES
OF COMPETENCY; AND PARAGRAPH 26 OF SECTION 9 RELATING
TO MIN IMUM WIRE SIZE.• WHEREAS, the City Council of 1the City of Zephyrhills, Florida,
on the 16th day of March, 1959, adopted Ordinance No. 136, entit ed
'An Ordinance Providing .for an El lctrical Inspector and Electric 1
Examining Board for the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, and Setting
Forth the Powers and Duties of Said Inspector and Said Board; Es
ablishing Requirements as to Certificates of Competency, Licens s,
onds, and Permits, Regarding all Electrical Work within the Cit ;
Providing Rules and Regulations Governing Electrical Work within
the City; and Establishing Penalties for Violation.,".
WHEREAS it has been determined by the City Council of the C ty
of Zephyrhills-, Florida, that certain changes are desirable in s id
lectricai Code ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUN IL
THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS , FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. AMENDMENT TO PARAGRAPH A..5. OF SECTION• 4:
Paragraph A.5. of Section 4 of the Electrical Code is hereb
anended to read as follows:
5. Each Applicant shall pay to the Electrical Inspector
the sum of $10.00 as the cost of the examination.. Any
applicant not passing the examination may apply for
re-examination within thirty days from the date of the
original examination, and the cost of each such re-
examination shall be $5.00. If application for re-
examination is made after the expiration of the thirty
day period, the original rate of $10.00 shall apply.
SECTION 2.. AMENDMENT T'O PARAGRAPH 26 OF SECTION 9 :
Paragraph 26 of Section 9 of the Electrical Code is hereby
mended to read as follows :
26. Minimum Wire Size : All wiring shall be done with a mini-
mum of #12 A.W.G. or heavier, except switch legs not mere
than 18 inches long which may be #14.
SECTION 3.f
All other parts and portions of Ordinance No. 136 are hereb
eiterated.

PLACES, NAMELY, THE CITY HALL AND THE U.S .POST
OFFICE FOR A PERIOD OF FIFTEEN DAYS. THE
ORDINANCE WAS POSTED IN THE CITY HALL AND THE
U.S.POST OFFICE ON FEBRUARY 11, 1963 AND
REMAINED POSTED IN SAID CITY IHALL AND U.S .POST
