AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS,'
FLORIDA, MAKING IT. UNLAWFUL FOR ANY
PERSON TO PLAY BILLIARDS OR POOL IN PUBLIC
BEFORE THE HOUR OF 1:00 P.M. ON SUNDAYS
AND FURTHER MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY
POOLROOM OR BILLIARD PARLOR TO BE OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC BEFORE THE HOUR OF 1: 00 P.M.
ON SUNDAYS, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA.
Section 1 . It shall be unlawful for any poolroom
or billiard parlor, within the City of Zephyrhills,
Florida, to be opened to the public for business before
the hour of 1: 00 P.M. on Sundays .
Section 2 . Any person, or persons , violating any
provision of Section 1 above, shall, upon conviction
thereof, be punished by a fine not to exceed Twenty
Five Dollars $25 . 00) , or by imprisonment in the City
Jail for a period not to exceed ten (10) days , or both,
such fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the
Municipal Judge .
Section 3 . If any part of this ordinance shall,
by any Court of competent jurisdiction, be held to be
unconstitutional, such ruling shall not effect the
validity of the remainder of this ordinance .
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are , hereby, repealed to the exte t
of such conflict .
Section 5 . This ordinance shall become effectiv
in the manner as provided by the City Charter of the
City of Zephyrhills, Florida.
The foregoing Ordinance No. was read and passed
on its first reading by theCity Council of the City of
Zephyrhills, Florida, on the 1st day of June,. 1965 .

This is to certify that Ordinance # 17 has been
posted on two public places, namely the City Hall
and .the U.S.Post Office for a period of fifteen days.
The Ordinance was posted in the City Hall and the
U.S.Post Office on July 19, 1965 and remained in
said City Hall and U.S.Post Office until August 27,
