AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS ,
PASCO COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
CITY COUNCIL TO ESTABLISH AN EMPLOYEES
PENSION AND RETIREMENT PLAN FOR EMPLOYEES
OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS , AND FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AGREEMENTS
WITH CITY EMPLOYEES AND INSURANCE COMPANIES
IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT SAID PLANS , AND THE
EXPENDITURE OF CITY FUNDS FOR COSTS INCURRED.
WHEREAS , no present plan exists for pension or retire,
ment benefits for employees of the City of Zephyrhills , and
WHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of Zephyrhills
does provide and authorize the creation of an employees
pension and retirement plan;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of Zephyrhills , Florida :
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Zephyr-

_.hills 31J , hereby, authorized to establish, by Resolution, an
employees pension and retirement plan for employees of the
City of Zephyrhills.
Section 2: That in order to create and establish such
pension and retirement plan the City Council is authorized
to enter into agreements with city employees for the purpose
of withholding funds from their wages and salaries for con-
tributions for such plans , and to enter into such other agree-
ments and contracts with insurance companies in order to
implement such plans.
Section 3: That the City Council is authorized to pay,
from city funds , the employers cost of such pension and
retirement plan as may be entered into.

This Ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption
and approval in the manner as prescribed by the City Charter
of the City of Zephyrhills , Florida.
