AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS ,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION SIX OF ORDINANCE
NO. 140, REDUCING_ THE INSURANCE COVERAGE
• FOR PUBLIC LIABILITY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE
FROM $40 ,000.00 to $20 ,,000.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ZEPHYRHILLS , FLORIDA:
That Section 6 of Ordinance No . 140 be and the
same is , hereby, amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 6 , Insurance: No license for the
operation of any taxicab shall be issued to
any firm, party or corporation unless and
until the applicant therefore has obtained
a policy of .insurance from an insurance
company duly authorized to do business under,
the laws of the State of Florida , insuring
the operation of all taxicabs to be operated
under such license for public liability and
property damage in an amount of not less than
$20 ,000.00 , which said :policy or policies must
remain in full force during the entire time
that such taxicabs shall operate , and shall be
approved by the City Council before issuance
of any license for operation of such taxi-
cabs. The revocation, lapse or suspension
of such insurance policy shall be grounds
for revocation of such license. "
All of the remaining portions of said Ordinance No .
140 shall remain in full force and effect.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon its
adoption and approval in the mInner as prescribed by the
City Charter of the City of Zeplyrhills.
