AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1965 FIRE PREVENTION
CODE AND REVISION OF DIVISION VI OF ARTICLE 16,
THEREOF, AS RECOMMENDED BY THE AMERICAN INSURANCE
ASSOCIATION.
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, as follows :
Section 1. That the Fire Prevention Code, Edition of
1965, and Revision of Division VI, Article 16, of said Code
as recommended by the American Insurance Association be and
the same is, hereby, now adopted by the City of Zephyrhills
Florida, as if same were set forth in this Ordinance, verba itm;
That all measures and procedures , as recommended in said Co 1e
for the prevention of, and protection from, fire in the City
of Zephyrhills , Florida, shall be duly complied with in sait3
City.
Section 2. That prior Ordinance No. 139, adopting the
Fire Prevention Code of 1965, as recommended by the Nationa
Board of Fire Underwriters be! and the same is, hereby, now
repealed and all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are, hereby, repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3. Any person or persons violating the provi-
sions of this Ordinance shall,, upon conviction thereof, be
punished by a fine of not more than Five Hundred and no/100
$500.00) Dollars , or by imprisonment in the City Jail for
not more than sixty (60) days;, or both.
Section 4. If any provision of this Ordinance shall,
by any Court of competent jurisdiction, be held to be uncon-
stitutional or invalid, such ruling shall not affect the
validity of the other provisions of this Ordinance, and they
shall remain valid and enforceable.
