AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS,
A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, ANNEXING A CER-
TAIN PARCEL OF LAND TO THE CORPORATE
LIMITS OF SAID CITY, UPON PETITION OF
OWNER OF SAID LAND; PROVIDING FOR THE RE-
DEFINING OF BOUNDARY LINES OF SAID CITY
TO INCLUDE SAID PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR
THE PUBLICATION OF SAID ORDINANCE, AND
PROVIDING FOR THE FILING OF THE ORDINANCE,
AFTER ADOPTION, WITH THE CLERK OF THE
CIRCUIT COURT AND DEPARTMENT OF STATE.
WHEREAS, Florida Statute 171 . 16 does provide a proce-
dure whereby all owners, of real property being contiguous to
the corporate limits of the City of Zephyrhills, may be annexed
to said City, upon Petition of said owners, and the adoption of
an Ordinance annexing same, and
WHEREAS, a certain owner of real property of lands con-
tiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Zephyrhills has,
by Petition, requested the annexation of said lands to the City
of Zephyrhills, and -
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills
has deemed it to the best interest of said City that the lands de-
scribed on said Petition be annexed within the corporate limits
of the City of Zephyrhills.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of Zephyrhills, as follows :
1 . That the following parcel of real property be annexed
to the City of Zephyrhills, pursuant to Petiition filed by the
owner of said lands and approved by the City Council of the City
of Zephyrhills, said real propertyand owner of same being as
follows :
Tracts 53 and 60, ZEPHYRHILLS COLONY COMPANY LANDS
subdivision of Section 2, Township 26 South, Range
21 East, as per the plat thereof recorded in Plat
Book 1 , page 55, Public Records of Pasco County, .
Florida.
LESS AND EXCEPT the East 257.05 feet of the South
335.82 feet thereof and LESS AND EXCEPT the West
150.0 feet of the South 290.40 feet thereof and
LESS AND EXCEPT the East 15 feet of said Tracts 53
and 60 for Road Right-of-Way.
said lands being owned by CLIFFORD C. CLARK and LAURA E. CLARK,
his wife.
2. That it is, hereby, deemed to be in the best in-
terest of the City of Zephyrhills that the lands, above de-
scribed, be annexed to and become a part of the City of Zephyr-
hills. That upon adoption of this Ordinance, the boundary line
of the corporate limits of the City of Zephyrhills shall be re-
defined so as to include the real property described above.
3. That this Ordinance shall be published in the Zephy -
hills News for four (4) consecutive weeks, and that proof of
the publication of this Ordinance be filed herein prior to fins
reading of this Ordinance.
4. That upon the filing of Proof of Publication, and
final adoption of this Ordinance, a copy of same shall be filed
with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Pasco County, Florida,
and a copy be forwarded to the Department of State, Tallahassee,
Florida.
The foregoing Ordinance No. was read and passe
on its first reading by the City Council of the City of Zephyr-
hills, Florida, on the day of 1973.
