JoEllen FarnhamPresident Zephyrhills, Florida 33540 Dear City Council Members: The Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce proposes to consruct an 18 x 28 ft. roofed over raised stage in Zephyr Park, south of the Alice Hall Community Centr between Lake Zephyr and the existing side- wallc, as a memorial to the late Bernard Y. 1lickstrom. Consensus is the suggested Bernie Wicicstrom Gazebo Stage will be a fitting name for the facility, construction of which is to be financed through contributions from his friends with some $4,500 already pledged. Past Chamber President Jickstrom had long wanted a permanent stage from which to present programs in the parlc, particularly at the annual Found- ers' Days Festival times. Completion of the project, under the chairmanship of D:ike Prilliman, will fulfill the late civic leader' s dream and eliminate the necessity of having to reach out in the community and borrow flatbeds for use as a makeshift stage. The gazebo stage structure will be given to the City of Zephyrhills for use by the public. Attached hereto is a copy of drawings showing three elevations of the building to be constructed of conerete block with stueco and a. shingled gable roof. Pursuant to approval of the plan by the City' s Site Plan Review Committee at a recent meeting ,the Chamber of Commerce' s board of direct- ors respectfully requests the Zephyrhills City Council to waive impact and building fees on the structure. 'Assuring you of our appreciation for your consideration in this instance and with continuing good wishes, we are Sincerely, . , The Zeph i s er of itunerce By - ./-C President GF/s cc: rlike Prilliman, project chairman
