the above referenced letter. Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing
' responses are provided. by Peninsula Engineering, and are attached.
In addition to revisions per review comments, there are several
plan changes. All of these are incorporated in Addendum #2, dated
September 6, 1994.

Comment: A-9 Sheet A4-40: Show the 1-hour rated separation between the
� atrium and Floors 2, 3 and 4. The response to this comment
generated the following: The rated wall separating the
atrium from the fourth floor shall extend to the roof deck,
revise accordingly.
Response: The 1-hour rated wall separating the fourth floor from the
atrium has been revised to extend to the ceiling. A 1-hour
wall has also been added to isolate the Mechanical Room from
the unused (unaccessible) penthouse space facing the Atrium.
, The smoke system has now been ducted, �fire dampers have been
� added where these smoke ducts pass through rated walls (see

Response: A 1-hour rated wall now separates the (created) Vestibule
401 from Mechanical Room 402 isolating the Mechanical space
from the Atrium with space 401. Vestibule 401, being roof
only accessible, empty and non-hazardous should allow us to
return to the wetted (water curtain) storefront at this
Fourth Level. See revised drawing A2-12, addendum #2, dated
9/6/94.
New Comment: A-24 Sheet A6-4:

A. Revise Details 3, 6-10 to comply with the glazing
requirement of NFPA-101 that all glass in the atrium
separation walls be wired, tempered or laminated, set
in gaskets to prevent breaking under heat stress.
