AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA,
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO.: 507 IN ITS
ENTIRETY; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF
LIBRARY CARDS; AUTHORIZING THE LIBRARY
STAFF TO FOLLOW THE POLICIES AND
PROCEDURES OF THE PASCO COUNTY PUBLIC
LIBRARY COOPERATIVE PERTAINING TO
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, REGISTRATION,
CIRCULATION AND CHARGES IN VIOLATION
OF ANY OF ITS RULES AND REGULATIONS;
AND AUTHORIZING THE ZEPHYRHILLS
MUNICIPAL LIBRARY TO ESTABLISH RULES
AND REGULATIONS IN GOVERNING THE USE
OF THE LIBRARY EQUIPMENT AND OTHER
MATTERS ATTENDANT TO THE CONDUCT OF
THE LIBRARY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Zephyrhills has established and maintained the
Zephyrhills Municipal Library from municipal funds for the health, education and
benefit of the citizens of the City of Zephyrhills and of Pasco County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Zephyrhills has previously established Ordinance No.:
507, providing for the issuance of library cards and authorizing a fine for violation
of the Zephyrhills Municipal Library Rules and Regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills has determined that
it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Zephyrhills to repeal Ordinance;
No.: 507; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills has determined that
it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Zephyrhills for the library staff to
issue, upon request, a Pasco County Public Library Cooperative card; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills has determined that
it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Zephyrhills that the libra?y staff
follow the policies and procedures of the Pasco County Public Library Cooperative
pertaining to registration, circulation, and policies and regulations regarding charges
in violation of any of its rules and regulations; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills has determined that
it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Zephyrhills that library staff
establish reasonable rules and regulations governing the use of the library equipment
and other matters attendant to the conduct of the Library.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Zephyrhills, Florida, sitting in regular meeting as follows:
SECTION 1-Ordinance No.: 507: That Ordinance No.: 507 is hereby
repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 2-Library Card Fee: All persons using the City municipal
library services, as determined by the library staff shall be issued a Pasco County
Public Library Cooperative card upon request.
SECTION 3-Library Rules and Regulations: The City municipal library
staff shall follow the policies and procedures of the Pasco County Public Library
Cooperative pertaining to registration and circulation. The City municipal library staff
is hereby authorized to establish reasonable rules and regulations in governing the use
of the Library equipment and other matters attendant to the conduct of the Library.
SECTION 4-Violations: The City municipal library staff will follow the
policies and regulations of the Pasco County Public Library Cooperative for charges
in violation of any of its rules and regulations.
SECTION 5-Effective Date: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
The foregoing Ordinance No.'1'1 -a1 was read and passed on its first reading
by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, on this ii- day of
