On February, 14 the Senior Class purchased and presented to the school a BT -13
Vuitee trainer for the purpose of teaching aeronautics to botY. girls and boys
of the upper c.Lasses. The plane was purchased fro.% t:_e 'far Surplus Boara and
was flown to the Zephyr -:ills airfiela by Mr. swilliain K;rusen, a local pilot.
Upon arrival of the plane a decication priCran was held with Congressman J.
Hardin Peterson giving the dedicatory address and Mrs. Mozera, on behalf of the
Senior Class, made tn'e presentation. Following the buying of tr,e airplane from
the government, an aeronautics class was orgf.'nized wittj Mr. Ifilliam Hrusen, of
Pan ,American Grace Airways, willingly giving his time as instructor anri Br. O.
El.Luker serving as assistU,nt. Interest spread fast and twenty three pupils

unrolled, getting off to a good start on Civil Aeronautics Luthority Rules
