Since English is a basic subject, necessary
for all fields of study, it is strongly empha- 4
sized in our school. Classes study a broad
range of subject matter, from Chaucer's
poems to Jack London's fiction.
Languages
Two languages are offered this year. Latin
was the subject chosen by those who wished
01 I a basic background in language. Spanish,
_ "r the language of our Latin American neigh-
_ bors, was selected by interested students.
Sciences
Sciences and Mathematics are strongly em-
phasized in our modern age of rockets and
missiles. At Zephyrhills we are striving to
keep pace with the new advances in these
fields. Most students do extra projects in
these subjects to learn more about a certain
interest.
