Spanish and Latin are the foreign languages
offered at school. For students interested in
ancient history, the classics, and the origins or -
many words in our language, Latin provides the SECO I^
main attraction. ND
Our native tongue, English, must be taken in I'EA
all four years of high school in order for us to LATIN
graduate with a diploma.
MUSIC
/ Music history and appreciation traces the
development and history of music from very
ancient times to the present. Students were
able to hear music and were given lectures on
art of the time periods covered. Thus the
course serves as preparatory humanities instruc-
tion.
Students interested in playing music began
in the sixth grade learning to play the instru-
_ I ments of their choice. Most of them continued
on through junior high band and finally became
members of the senior band.
SCIENCES -
Two units in science are the minimum re ylI

quirements for graduating with a diploma. Stu-
dents �.
may choose from among such varied divi- I
sions as general science, physical science, bi-
ology, Chemistry, physics, earth science, and
physiology. - •
We are able to learn more of the whys and
wherefores concerning ourselves and the world
around us by studying the numerous sciences. e
