The National Honor Society is a
service organization devoted to encour-
aging
and recognizing the outstanding
scholastic achievements of ZHS stu-
dents. The requirement for member-
ship is a 3.0 or higher cumulative aver-
*
age. Furthermore, a prospective mem-
ber must be at least a sophomore and ~�'
be approved by the faculty. Each year
the National Honor Society sponsors a
scholarship for a senior who meets the
criteria established by the club. Tradi-
tionally.
each year, they provide letters
for each student who makes the
"Straight A" Honor Roll two out of the F;
first three quarters.
Activities of this year's National
Honor Society included: sponsorship
of the Homecoming Bonfire held on
October 6. their annual Candlelight
Installation Ceremony on October 22,
Teacher Appreciation Day, a talent
show, activities honoring "A" Honor
Roll students each quarter and various �a
other service projects.
