fullness of human happiness!
The times when our lack of understanding
caused us hurt only to be resolved by
the security of our love.
Not a day passed that you didn't find
some way to give even when you were
tired or carried a troubled heart.
From you I learned charity and
compassion and tolerance, from you
I learned to like myself.
I feel your image as a part of me,
your love mirrored by my deeds.
If I suffer or am lonely or feel
hurt, it is not because of you, but
only that you opened up so much
love I have not yet found a
world to give it all to.
