French foreign exchange student. . .Christine Dominique Andree Olmedo.
Some will remember Dominique because of her humorous antics, others will
remember her because of her outgoing personality, however, it is doubtful that
anyone will forget what a very special individual Dominique is.
We have enjoyed having you as a part of our family. May God bless and be with
you always.

"My name is Christine Dominique An-
dree Olmedo,but everybody knows me as
Dominique. I'm a French foreign ex-
change student and I am spending one
whole year in the United States, or more
specifically, Zephyrhills, Florida. In
France, we are surrounded by other dif-
ferent countries, and an exchange stu-
dent, even from the United States, is no /•
big deal. But I was surprised by seeing /
your curiosity and by hearing your
multitude of questions which showed
your interest in knowing "Somebody
from somewhere else," and I was very
pleased.
Spending one year far away from family,
friends, town and country is perhaps
hard, but I am lucky enough to love to
travel and I can adjust pretty easily. I'm
18 now, and I wanted to have respon-
sibilities and to travel, not as a tourist,
but like a real American with school,
family and other stuff; I had this chance
and I enjoyed it.
I wanted to change everything in this
special year, and everything I tried was
new and pretty hard (and in English!). I - N
often thought some people did not
understand me or didn't have enough pa- •
tience, but the majority helped me very
much, by making my life more easy and i '
full of smiles. I also had the impression of
not expressing myself as much as I would 4
like to have, but the memories I will keep .

This trip will surely change my future
