HomeMy WebLinkAbout0105 My name is Mariko Shimbori and I am an exchange student from
. Japan.
There were lots of things that surprised and interested me.
r' `► . The way you live and you think is, I think, much different. I think
American people are frank with everything and friendly, so I could make
F4. a lot of friends who helped me very much. And also the school system is
different. I enjoyed my school life here, especially activities like the pep
rallies and Homecoming Week.
Being an exchange student and experiencing a different culture, I
sometimes had a hard time communicating and doing everything in a
foreign language, but from that I absorbed many things, which will make
myself more independent and smarter, and also I got to know how impor-
tant family and friends were.
I really want to thank all my friends, teachers, and guidance
counselors for what they have done for me.
I wish I could stay at ZHS longer, and someday I'd like to come back to
Florida. I'll never forget this splendid and enriched year I spent in Florida.
