HomeMy WebLinkAbout0012 It's a bright new day. The birds are
singing sweet songs of greeting outside
your window. You glance at the alarm
t--C clock, 6:29 a.m. A smile slowly ap-
pears on your face. You can snuggle
` ' back under the covers and get up
whenever you feel like it. You start to
roll over to go back to sleep when the
shrill beeping of your alarm intrudes.
You are confused for a moment until
you realize that it's not the weekend
anymore, it's Monday. But no, the
• bed's much too comfortable for it to
be Monday and so you resort to denial
Riose & Shine and hit the snooze alarm. Several
times. Your next coherent memory is
of looking at the clock again, only this
time it reads 7:15 a.m. Did you really
hit the snooze alarm that many times?
No matter, there's no escaping it now;
you must get up and so you reluc-
tantly drag yourself out of bed.
You reach the bathroom and dis-
cover that you're the last to make it to
the shower and now there's nothing
• but tepid water left to you. After your
less than invigorating shower, you
• \\ find that despite all your noble in-
tentions of the night before, the laun-
dry somehow escaped from the
clutches of the washing machine. You
sort through the pile and pull out the
clothing emanating the least offensive
odor and get dressed. Next is the joy-
ful weekday mini-breakfast of cold ce-
real. Mmm, bran flakes!
