Ode to Dallas
You came into our lives only seventeen short years ago. t
What an impact you would have no one would know.j _ _J Such a beautiful baby, you were, then as a toddler as well.
Whether it is playing with pots and pans, or your Barbie Hotel,
watching Barney, Princess Jasmine, or Disney for hours on end.
To playing football with Kyle and I, all weekend we would spend.
Then came dancing and cheerleading, and dancing again.
Those endless cheers we thought would never end. ^ r�
Then there was singing and singing, and even more singing,
And the concerts we went to that left our ears ringing.
The trips that we took, the Bahamas, Key West, Kill Devils Hills,
To the theme parks we visited, and endless roller coaster thrills,
And then there were the sports that you played,
Basketball and Softball, oh the plays that you made,
The hours and hours we spent shooting hoops on the driveway,
and many more hours spent hitting and catching, seems like yesterday.
..� Ice skating, roller skating, movies, and more,
Sometimes you exhuasted me right to the core,
Kindergarden, elementary, middle, and now high school,
Graduation is coming, and then college will rule.
You've grown from a baby, to a young woman now,
The changes I've seen in you, make me say WOW.
Our hopes and dreams for you to achieve,
and someday we know it will be time for you to leave,
We hope that we have done our best,
and pray you succeed after leaving the nest.
Our love for you is so profound,
