Sarah E. Leatherman purchased 10 acres in Abbott, Florida on January 18, 1920 for
$100.00. The town name changed shortly after to Zephryhills. Sarah was the grandmother of
George Neukom, Sr., a 1926 graduate of ZHS. Sarah Leatherman was the great, great, great
grandmother of Ashley Oakley. (A picture of the original receipt is below)
