' 9The perfect way to end homecoming week is to celebrate at the
dance. Unlike the prom, all students have an opportunity to attend the
homecoming dance. It is one last chance to let loose and have a good
me extremely happy time with friends before another stressful week of homework and tests.
The dance gives students the opportunity to dress up in their finest and
that I got nominated to be just have a good time.This year, glow sticks were handed out at the front
homecoming princess. I didn't door until supplies ran out. Students wore glow necklaces and bracelets
as they danced the night away.
think I was going to win, but The theme for week was Hollywood. Each class picked a spe-
cific aspect of Hollywood to use for the theme of their float in the parade.
I'm glad I did. Turns out I'm The class had to get together as a group to decide on the theme and
cooler than I thought!" what to put on the float.
Floats were built after school and whenever the students had
spare time to work on them. In order to have a good float, the classes
Hali Fisher, 11th had to work on them all week long. This year, it wasn't the experienced
seniors who won, like usual, it was the inexperienced freshmen. Their
theme was award shows which included a red carpet, Grammys, the
King and queen paparazzi, and getting all dressed up.
