"Right before coming into my freshman
year, I decided that I wanted to be valedictorian.
I knew it would be incredibly competitive and
very difficult to achieve, but I was determined to
push myself to that level of academic achieve-
ment.
For four years. I have challenged my-
self to take many honors, advanced placement.
and dual enrollment classes as well as special-
ized electives. Many times, I sacrificed sleep.
free time, and occasionally my sanity to keep
my grades up and keep my head afloat within r
my schedule. Thankfully, my I'll sleep when it's
done' mentality eventually paid off."

often gave up my free time to devote to studies,
took the most challenging courses, and was al-
ways ready to learn."
