C2) fit over the support legs (61 & B2) at the bottom. Snap the adjustable base supports over th�� bottom
of the support legs and slide them up 1 down to the outside measurement using the measuremEnt guide

13. 4/ERY IMPORTANT- SECURE IN-POOL LADDER SECTION. The inside J in-pool ladder sectior� F must
be securec! in place for greater strength & stability. The inside ladder section MUST NOT be allowed to
slide up. Identify the inside / in-pool side of your ladder with the "missing" hardware connection points
from steps 9 & 10. Make certain ladder section F is all the way to the bottom. At the four bolt locations
I identified in 13.1 (left from step 9 &'!0-see 13.4&13.5), pass a 2-1/2 carriage bolt through the open bolt
hole, from the outside in, and secure using a washer and nut(13.7). The bolts will pass through an open
slot in the ladder section at all four corners (see 13.2, 13.3 & 13.6), two at the top of the ladder section
and two at the bottom. Tighten all four bolts equally to slightly beyond snug - as you tighten, you will see
the washer and nut pull the ladder section tight to the support frame. Do not over-tighten.
14. VERY IMPORTANT - COMPLETE ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION OF ANTI-ENTRAPMENT l_ADDER
BARRIER ON REVERSE OF THIS PAGE BEFORE INSTALLING LADDER INTO THE POOL. The b�rrier is
included with this ladder to prevent children from swimming through or behind pool ladder. F:�ilure to

SKIMMER ASSEMSY
l. If the SP 1091 E,Wide mouth extension,is not installed on the body,it must be assembled to the body prior to attempting to
install the skimmer in the pool. �
2. To install the wide mouth extension,insert four(4)pan head screws 1"long through the lip of the extension and four(4)
through the throat of the skimmer. Place the gasket between the extension and the skimmer body. Firmly tighten the screws.
SKIMMER INSTALLATION
I. From the outside of the pool install the face-plate double gasket at skimmer cutout in the wall. Reach over the top rail of the
pool and carefully press the face-plate and liner against the gasket and skimmer cutout in the wall. Punch out the two top
corner holes using a blunt object. Insert two self-threading flat head screws(provided)into the top corner holes of the face-
plate. i
2. Carefully push the screws through the holes that have been pierced in�the liner and through the double gasket. From the
outside of the pool,align the skimmer body with these screws. Lightly tighten the two screws.
3. Using a blunt object,pierce the remaining holes in the liner. Insert arid lightly tighten the remaining flat head screws through
the face-plate,liner,gasket and into the corresponding holes on the skimmer. Firmly tighten all screws evenly,alternately
left and right,top and bottom.
4. Using the skimmer face plate as a guide,use a razor knife to trim onIy, the liner,being careful not to the gasket,in the large
skimmer opening.

RETURN FITTING INSTALI,A�'ION
1. The return fitting fumished with these skimmers is a SP 1023. The hole required through the pool wall to install this i:itting is
2.38f.03 inches. DO NOT CU'd'THE LINER.
2. Place one rubber gasket over the threads of the�eturn fitting adapter and push the threaded end against the liner and ttirough
the return cutout in the wall.
3_ Applying outwazd pressure to the return fitting cut and"X"in the center of the exposed liner from outside the pool. The
retum fitting will now be fully pressed against the liner and the wall on the inside of the pool. Using a razor knife,trim the
excess liner material from around the fitting threads on the outside of the pool.
4. Place the second rubber gasket and then the cork gasket over the threads of the return fitting now exposed outside of��he pool.
Screw on the lock nut and tighten.
5. Screw on the adjustable directional ball fitting into the face of the rehun fitting from the outside of the pool. Position ball
fitting opening away from skunmer opening. Do not over-righten.
Note: On-going leaks from the slcimmer or wall fittings may cause pool wali
damage that eventually may result in pool wall failure.

RECOMMENDED WINTERIZING PROCEDURE

Hoaking up the fiilter and motor to the base will vary based on
the style of pump you have. Please note that steps 4A, 4B, or

Prior to attaching the filter or pump to the base, locate one of
the slide valves (I). Cover threads of slide valve entirely with _ '
