Chapter 633, Florida Statutes,authorizes the City to charge and collect user fees to pay for the costs of fire
prevention and protection related activities such as inspections, plan review,administrative fees,and other
costs related to the aforementioned.
Complete Plans, Specifications and Fee Must Accompany Application. Commencement of work without written approval of
the Fire Department's Fire Marshal or required permits or opening up for commercial activity without an appr.oved final
inspection shall be charged double permit fee per day of operation or a minimum of$100.00, whichever is greater. All
work shall be pertormed in accordance with City Codes and Ordinances.
"FIREWORKS" per Section 791.01, Florida Statutes are considered as any combustible or explosive
composition or substance or combination of substances or,except as hereinafter provided,any article
prepared for the purpose of producing visible or audible effect by combustion,explosion,deflagration,or
detonation. I

type wall and rooffinishes (aesthetics)
2. This type of special event if considered a "Fair" would need council approval (also potential backlash from

3. Link of Silveroaks...l like Shane's idea on Simmons Road improvements.Also ensure hydrant spacing is correct.
4. Zephyr Plaza.. per Chief Swartout inquiry..Restaurant occupant load of 100 or more or fire area 5,000 sq. ft or

Good Afternoon,
I have no issues that I can cite at this time in regard to a majority of the items on the Site Plan
Committees Agenda.
I do have one item of concern. Will the new restaurant in Zephyr Plaza be made to have fire sprinklers? My first guess
would be "yes" if it is being retrofitted we would like them to install a
5-Inch "Storz"Sprinkler connection with chain and cap to supply the fire protection system. Please have engineering
firm or developer make a note.
(Fire.works in Zephyr Park)
, Due to the rain we've had I have not assigned a dedicated crew to standby for the fireworks show at Zephyr Park. If I
have a scheduled time for the fireworks to go off I could make a note for one of our crews to go by and standby in the
' area until the fireworks show ends.

; • Agenda item#4: The plans call for removal of landscaping along US 301,this landscaping was a FDOT
beautification grant. Is this permissible?Also, any new construction/renovations should include dumpster
enclosures per city specifications consistent with other shopping centers and restaurants.
