HomeMy WebLinkAbout815-02 Adopt Millage for FY 2002-2003 ll i 41 , 4 ;,i 20002149722 Rcpt.: 621084 Rec: 10.60 DS: ® IT: 0,00 ORDINANCE NO.: 815-02 DS;26; 2 a;,t,, Clerk AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF, 0 m, rri THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, cu N) LEVYING MILLAGE RATE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002-2003 FOR THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS. - m9 --,k.,-.-SFt WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills has timely advised the Pasco County Property Appraiser's Office that it proposed to levy a millage rate of 6.42 mills, which is more than the rolled back rate computed pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065 (1)by 3.9% and C`4 WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills did on September 9, 2002, conduct a Public Hearing and following said Public Hearing, did adopt a tentative budget of Twenty Seven Million Nine Hundred Nineteen Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty One Dollars and no cents ($27,919,851.00) and a proposed millage of 6.42 mils; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills did advertise on q-L./-a.c7 O L.. 2002, its intent to adopt a final budget and millage rate during a Public Hearing held September 9, 2002, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills did, after receiving input from the general public, adopt a final budget of Twenty Seven Million Nine Hundred Nineteen Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty One Dollars and no cents ($27,919,851.00). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, sitting in regular session, that: 1. The millage rate to be levied for ad valorem taxes within the municipality of the City of Zephyrhills for the 2002-2003 fiscal year shall be 6.42 mills, said rate being 3.9% more than the rolled back rate computed pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065 (1). 2. This Ordinance shall become effective upon second reading and signing by the Mayor.
